#12: 法国的LV店关了 – 她的心里也急了 Louis Vuitton Store Closures Are Having an Outsized Impact on This Chinese Lady in France
As one of China's many overseas "daigou" who make a living by buying and reselling luxury goods to clients on the mainland, her income has effectively dropped to zero.
王珂躺在她法国家里的沙发上，心里非常着急。她已经不记得上次到LV店是什么时候了。
王珂 wáng kē = person’s name
躺 tǎng = to lie on
沙发 shā fā = sofa
王珂是一名代购，她的工作是帮忙国内的客户在法国买LV、Chanel等奢侈品，然后寄回国。同一个包包或衣服，在法国买比中国便宜很多，王珂可以从中赚一些差价。她从2016年来法国以后就一直在做这个工作。

客户 kè hù = client
奢侈品 shē chǐ pǐn = luxury goods
寄 jì = to send
赚 zhuàn = to earn
差价 chā jià = difference in price
每一年的春节前后是她最忙的时候。客户在辛苦工作一年后，在春节时会想要多花些钱，给自己买奢侈品。王珂说，她在这个时候能赚到几万元。
前后 qián hòu = before and after
辛苦 xīn kǔ = hard (as in “work hard”)
但是今年的春节，中国的疫情让不少客户改变想法。她们不想花那么多钱，买的东西也少了。
疫情 yì qíng = epidemic
王珂以为过了春节，情况会好转，可是没想到法国三月份疫情变严重，所有奢侈品店都关门。虽然国内有一些客户还是想买，但是店全都关了，王珂也只好拒绝她们。
情况 qíng kuàng = situation
好转 hǎo zhuǎn = getting better
严重 yán zhòng = serious
拒绝 jù jué = to refuse/reject
现在，王珂已经一个月没有赚到钱了，她心里非常着急。
