As Beijing combats its second wave of coronavirus transmissions, there have been rumors that, this time, the virus snuck in through imports of salmon. That smells a little fishy.

病例 bìng lì = cases (of infection)

切割 qiē gē = to cut
进口 jìn kǒu = to import
三文鱼 sān wèn yú = salmon
案板 àn bǎn = chopping board
检测 jiǎn cè = to test or detect

下架 xià jià = to remove from shelves
暂停 zàn tíng = to temporarily stop

流传 liú chuán = to spread or circulate

吨 dūn = tonnes
挪威 nuó wēi = Norway

调查 diào chá = to investigate
病原 bìng yuán = source of infection

传染 chuán rǎn = to infect
肺 fèi = lung
感染 gǎn rǎn = to be infected

污染 wū rǎn = to contaminate
戴口罩 dài kǒu zhào = to wear a mask
