最近,新加坡有一位运动员揭露,自己在中国训练的时候,曾被教练体罚。
揭露 jiē lù = to expose / reveal
训练 xùn liàn = training
教练 jiào liàn = coach
体罚 tǐ fá = corporal / physical punishment
11岁就被教练虐待
于书然是新加坡的花样滑冰运动员。
花样滑冰 huā yàng huá bīng = figure skating
她的妈妈是中国人,爸爸是新加坡人,她们一家人住在北京。
从小,她就在中国接受训练。
但从11岁开始,她就开始遭受到“身体上的虐待。”
虐待 nüè dài = abuse
比如,教练经常打她。
“当他发脾气时,即使是很小的过错,他也会要我伸手受罚。”
“如果他生很大的气,我会连续被打十几次,直到破皮。”
发脾气 fā pí qì = to loose one’s temper
伸手受罚 shēn shǒu shòu fá = stretch out one’s hand and receive punishment
破皮 pò pí = broken skin
有一次,教练还用冰鞋踢她,造成她受伤流血。
可是,她怕教练会生更大的气,只好忍痛继续训练。
冰鞋 bīng xié = skates / skating boots
流血 liú xuè = to bleed
忍痛 rěn tòng = to bear with the pain
教练也喜欢用“懒惰”、“肥胖”、“笨蛋”、“没用”等字眼来骂她。
懒惰 lǎn duò = lazy
肥胖 féi pàng = fat
笨蛋 bèn dàn = idiot
看了Netflix纪录片后决定把自己的故事说出来
于书然代表新加坡参加过世界锦标赛。
但在2018年,她得了神经障碍,所以只能提早退出运动界。
世界锦标赛 shì jiè jǐn biāo sài = World Championships
神经障碍 shén jīng zhàng ài = neurological disorder
她最近看了Netflix纪录片《吹哨人:美国体操队性侵丑闻追踪》(Athlete A)之后,才决定把自己的故事说出来。
她表示,这样做是希望能让大家更关注这个问题,并帮助受害者。
受害者 shòuhài zhě = victims
运动界的体罚问题
于书然说,体罚是一个严重的问题,在不同国家也曾发生过。
除了中国,不久前英国、澳洲、美国、日本等国家也都有运动员揭发过这一类的问题。
她说:“它也不只发生在花滑上,体操、篮球和跆拳道等都有。”
于书然认为,人们不应该容忍这样的事情继续发生。
“我们应该关心的是运动员本身,而不只是他们的成绩。”
体操 tǐ cāo = gymnastics
篮球 lán qiú = basketball
跆拳道 tái quán dào = taekwondo
容忍 róng rěn = to tolerate
